Short Term Missions

Behavior and Rules

We ask for a high standard of conduct from those who come to minister here in the name of Jesus. Behavior, speech and dress need to honor the Lord at all times. Here is a list of some general rules for our facilities:

**We ask that single people do not fraternize with those of the opposite sex by entering in their bedrooms/bathrooms and pairing off (dating), or showing emotional or physical contact. We ask this because it distracts from the real purpose of the team and not doing so offers a better chance to fellowship with the other team members and with the nationals

** No fire arms permitted to bring to mexico by Mexican government Laws. Violatiors can go to Jail. No drugs or alcohol. We ask that you refrain from smoking tobacco while at our facility

**Be willing to work. There is hard work to do at times, and we ask that every member be willing to participate in whatever the task is at hand. The group may be asked to do cleaning, digging, mixing cement, washing dishes, setting up the equipment or taking it down. Each member must be willing to work and cooperate with the leadership provided. Everyone is expected to do their share and nothing will be asked of anyone that they cannot do.

Giving

We strongly urge you to be careful in the area of giving away items and especially money. As harsh as it seems, giving can cause more problems, even if it is done with the best of intentions. We have seen fights and broken relationships over things that are given away.

We have a system already in operation of giving gifts/money to the Mexican people.

If you feel led to give something away to a Mexican national while you are down here, please speak with Chacko as to the best way to do so. Our staff is not permitted to receive money or gifts from any one since they are supported by this ministry.
